How to study efficiently to succeed in your studies?

There are methods and advice adapted to everyone. Studying well is first of all knowing yourself well. To be efficient, you need to organise yourself and choose working methods that correspond to you, and you will get results that meet your expectations.

If you are studying for an exam, it is important to analyse the time you have until the exams and to organise yourself accordingly, so that you do not revise at the last minute. Testing your ability to concentrate will help you study more effectively, so know your limits before you start.

1. Be and stay positive
To help you be positive, remember these things:

You are studying to learn, you have chosen this study, and it is a pleasure to enrich yourself with new knowledge.
Tell yourself over and over again that you are going to succeed because you enjoy this learning process which will enable you to practise the profession you have in mind for yourself.
You will succeed because you are working for it, with courage, enthusiasm and motivation.
Do not worry about other students. Keep in mind that everyone has their own pace, so don’t compare yourself to others. Work as you see fit according to your ability to concentrate.
Don’t focus on the results you need to achieve; this leads to stress. Focus your positive energy on your studies and on the methods you will use and adapt for yourself.
2. Prepare a study plan
You know how many subjects you need to work on and your concentration limits:

Design a study and revision timetable in full awareness of your concentration abilities.
Define your work per month, per week and per day for each subject. By organising yourself, you will save a lot of time and stress.
Make a clear list of what you are going to study in relation to your timetable during the term and tick it off as it is completed.
Don’t forget to include in your schedule time to clear your mind, breathe, walk or do sport at least three times a week.
Include a healthy lifestyle in your daily routine, eat well and sleep well. Be physically and intellectually fit to improve your memory.
Respect your work and relaxation schedule on a regular basis. Revise at the same time, which will help you to discipline yourself. You will be proud to stick to it.
Studying effectively requires first of all a good environment, a place adapted to you, where you will find the best conditions for an optimal concentration, alone or in group. Then knowing the revision methods that suit your way of working, those that will allow you to acquire a good memory.
